I thought I would take a stab at projecting the NIT field were the season to end today. As all regular season conference champions are guaranteed no worse than a NIT bid, I have left the 7 and 8 seeds blank for now. Like with the NCAA Tournament, the bubble could shrink, but it could also expand should all of the regular season champions win the low-major conference tournaments. The first three seed lines are just the first 12 teams out from the NCAA Bracketology.
